Financial Information

Psychotherapy services are in the “basis verzekering”of Dutch health insurance. If you need reimbursement from your health insurance, a referral letter from your huisarts is essential. This letter must stipulate “Gespecialiseerde GGZ" and a diagnosis. The practice does not have contracts with insurance companies. It is the client’s responsibility to investigate the amount of reimbursement given. A “restitutiepolis” generally offers the best coverage for health providers who don't have contracts with insurers-“ongecontracteerde zorg”.

I work in the “Gespecialiseerde GGZ”, and follow the NZa Tariff.

Outside the “Gespecialiseerde GGZ" structure, the fee for a session of 45 minutes is €140.

If you need to change or cancel a session please call or text +31 6 24824068. I require 48 hours notice for a cancellation. Otherwise the regular fee will be charged.

Routine outcome monitoring (ROM) is used in the practice. This is one of the conditions of the contracts with the Health Insurance companies. The results of these questionnaires are confidential, but do have to be uploaded to Stichting Benchmark.

Professional affiliations and ethics

Kate is a member of the NIP. In 2013, the practice underwent a successful audit as part of the “Visitation" process of the LVVP (Landelijke Vereniging van Vrijgevestigde Psychologen & Psychotherapeuten).

Kate follows the NIP (Nederlands Institute of Psychologen) code of ethics. If, despite my adherence to these standards, you have a complaint about my professional practice or treatment, you can always discuss this with me. If we do not reach an agreement, you may contact the NIP.

I aim to be fully compliant with GPDR legislation and to let you know how I use and protect the data you’ve given me. I wish to be transparent with regard to the processes I have in place. Identifiable information, if shared, will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. I follow guidance from my governing body (NIP). I will keep these processes under review and refresh them if anything changes. Axians is the organisation that will create my billing and register my data. They employ a three step encryption process which is compliant with the legislation.

All the information discussed in a therapy session is confidential.

However, when you start and when you complete your therapy a letter is sent to your general practitioner. If you do not wish to have your general practitioner contacted, those wishes will be respected. There will be nothing written about you unless you give your written consent. In supervision and intervision there will be no information disclosed that would reveal your identity.

The psychotherapist promises to act in a professional manner, that is to say, with a sense of responsibility, integrity, respect and professional knowledge - and for that reason the psychotherapist will not be held liable for possible direct or indirect damage to the client.
